Hey there stranger. It has been several decades since I saw you. Many, many, years ago, I was married to Fernando Prol........yes back in the day. I have thought about you and wondered how you were doing over the years. I remember Fernando telling me that you were always anticipating California falling into the ocean...... well, it looks like you have survived and are living the life you were meant to live. Good for you. If you have time, I would love to hear from you and also if you ever have a gig here (Washington DC area), I would love to see you again. Take care. Molly

I met you in 1979 at a bar in the deep woods of Louisiana thru a friend of yours at the time named Robert Hancock. I brought you a pack of Wrigley's gum as you use to chew gum the entire night back then and your style was the closest thing to Jimi I had ever seen. I last saw you sitting in with Doug Bear's band "Bareback" at the Buckhead Saloon in Atlanta while in town with Jackson in the mid 80's I believe. I hope all is well my friend and safe travels to you. Let me know when you are back in the ATL area.

March 13, 2011

Hi Gregg,
I know I saw you when you had the Gregg Wright band and did Jimi Hendrix cover tunes plus your own material from your first album which was a rock album. I used to have that album but some one stole it from me and I can't locate it anywhere on line. Is there any way that you know that I could purchase another copy of that album or do you not want to be associated with that at all. I used to come see you all the time, remember Ole Man Rivers in Westwego, LA, I know you remember those days, can you help me out???

Saw Gregg at the International Blues Competetion in Memphis a couple of weeks ago. He is amazing and bought one of his CD's. He should have won that competition and I was there with another band! He is truly the Jimi Hendrix and Blues Man of this era. Much success. If he's ever down South Florida way I will be there!

Gregg - Great to see you have continued to master the Rockin Blues and Congrats on earning your way to represent So Cal in the IBC's in Memphis! I saw you open for Walter Trout at Wilbarston Hall, UK back in '95 or '96 I think. You had something special then and I look forward to buying your two CD's since the Left Hook album. I heard you on AOL and Last Fm under the Blues and had no idea you are still bringing us the Rockin Blues like I heard 15 years ago. Loved your journal from the European Tour with Zac Harmon. Good Luck at the IBC's - you deserve a major contract my friend. Good Blues to ya! Jeff Kay - Cleveland, OH

Just back from 4 months in Spain where I saw you at the Antequera Blues Festival. I've been to the festival for the past 6 years (I have a place nearby) and have seen some really great acts but the group I was with agreed that your set was the best we had ever seen at the festival. Hi Mr. Wright,
A long time ago, my friends and I saw you several times at a club in Hollywood. The club was called The Central. We are musicians and we were amazed at the way you played. It was on jam night which I think it was on Thursday nights. You would jam with other musicians. You were awesome. We kept coming back just to see you play. You never sang and you also threw in the Sound of Music song called These Are a Few of My Favorite Things in the jams which was interesting and out of this world! Please tour to L.A. Thanks. I'll sign up for your news letters!

Seems like I saw you play at the outdoor greek theater at LSU, Baton Rouge, [free concert] in the 70s.
I ran out to buy the vinyl LP the performance was so impressive.
Years later someone stole that LP which I regret to this day.
The upsidedown Strat played lefty, the killer chops, I think that was you.
Either way - great to see your site, smokin' guitar chops!
Do you have a publishing history of albums somewhere I could check out.

Good stuff at Phil Brady's last Saturday. Your bass player really shakes. Must have neck muscles of steel. Been a fan since Papa Joes days. I love turning on young guys to your talent. Please keep Baton Rouge on your stomping path. I noticed no Kham Sin tunes made the gig. Highway Traveler and What's Your Name would add nice flair. Keep up the good work.

Gregg, Man you just have to re-release "Kamsin" as a CD, eve if it's only for on-line sales, or MP3 purchases on-line. I had it on vinyl and it was damged during a flood 25 years ago, and haven't heard this music sense. It's only in my head, because it was one of my favorite albums of all time. Nobody is doing anything like that anymore except for maybe bands like King's X. Please Bro, I gotta have this album again.
